The International Freestyle Skaters Association, jointly with the FIRS and its partner is glad to present the Freestyle Sports Rules & Bylaws 2009:
http://www.ifsasports.org/2009/01/12/rules-bylaws-2009/

In this document, you will find every information about the 2009 rules, the bylaws of the association, the organisation requirement and much more. You can follow the rules discussion in its IFSA Forum thread:
http://www.ifsasports.org/forum/viewtop ... 01&start=0

For your information, the rules 2009 updates are based on the propositions received in 2008 for the board meeting. A synthesis of this demands has proceed to match attempts from everyone. The demands are not coming from the IFSA, but from the Federations, the countries, the judges & the judges reporting competitors demands, for a democratic & efficient developpment together. The board, IFSA team & Federations who joined did this hard job together for the skaters : Thanks

May I call your attention & understanding on this point :
The World is large & rich, each country or even each group has coherent demand. All this demands are different & even opposite one to another. As the rules are for all the skaters worldwide, they have to include all the opinions & demands. Therefore it can not match exactly each single view, but propose the best coherent system for a global World made of different skaters.

Following a request from various skaters in Las Palmas competition, two changes have been made to the rules and have been started to be applied since Nice competition:

- Following the First best trick (ranking Best Trick), skaters will be entitled to choose their start position for their First run, in qualification order.
- Only the 8 for Men and 6 for women, non qualified for the second run skaters will go to the second chance best trick. All the others skaters; from 17+ for men and 13+ for women, will end their competition after the first run. The number of two skaters allowed to go to the second chance remains un-changed.
